Geneva - Travel Information Getting around (and to) Geneva

Transports Publics Genevois serve the airport; it operates a first-rate bus and tram service. A single ticket costs $1.50 and a 24-hour ticket - valid for unlimited travel - costs $6. The discount tickets are sold at most newsstands. Buses stop outside Departures and Arrivals. Bus no.10 runs to central Geneva, and bus no.18 to the UN. Bus services from the French sector connect to regional French towns and various international routes to destinations in Spain, Portugal, and Eastern Europe. Aero Ski Bus provides services from the airport to many of the French ski stations.

By Taxi
Travelers will be delighted to know that the exorbitant taxi fares, in Geneva, include the gratuity. Taxi services are available at the airport, departing from outside Arrivals.

By Boat
Geneva perched across the meandering lake, there are Half or full day Lake Geneva Cruises and can be arranged daily from the Jardin Anglais Pier at 8am and 10:15am.

By Rail
The airport is connected by Rail services as well, the Geneva railway station is 300m from the airport; all trains stop at central Geneva-Cornavin, in the city centre, and there are also direct trains to destinations throughout Switzerland and Europe.

Walking
Geneva is a city whose beauty and history is best unlocked in the most natural way - by walking. The city's historic areas and famous lake is less than ten minutes by foot from Cornavin Train Station and from most hotels.
